About Me!
As a South Asian Muslim therapist I acknowledge the various levels of impact our identities can have upon our lives. I hold power to the identity of individuals as they process life experiences such as childhood trauma, attachment styles, depression, grief and intergenerational differences. I take into account the various influencing factors that impact individuals lives such as interpersonal difficulties to societal pressures. In the midst of my therapeutic work, I seek to find happiness hope and optimism.
I work to help guide and support individuals through an empathic, compassionate and nonjudgmental approach. I have experience working as a psychotherapist, a trauma therapist with individuals, children and families as well as work with children with disabilities. I utilize a strengths based and social justice framework to create a safe space for individuals to navigate through their life experiences. I am committed to support individuals discover their inner strengths so that hey may live a healthier and happier life.
